We are so back baby! In true fashion life got busy and hectic however, I was not about to miss blogging during the best time of the year. Spooktober brings me so much joy and allows my creativity to flourish. I get to share 5 costume ideas with you all this year which is super exciting and I’m looking forward to writing about each one.
As we all know, unless you live under a rock like Patrick in bikini bottom, Taylor Swift released new music and is in her showgirl era. I thought it would be a good idea for the first costume of the season to be a showgirl. Dressing up is so much fun and everyone can have a different idea or perspective on the same concept. For this outfit I took to Amazon to get what I needed and found a few other things in my closet.
Lights, camera, action… the outfit I chose was glitz and glam. I ordered a body suit with sequins and fringe off Amazon and let me tell you I’m obsessed. I feel like it gives complete showgirl vibes and paired with the boa and headpiece there is no confusing what my costume is supposed to be. I also wore fishnets and heels to finish off the look. I like how everything came together and you could do any color scheme your heart desires, I just went classic black and shimmery.
What’s an outfit without hair and makeup? It worked out that the day I did this costume idea I was going to a Taylor Swift event for her new album so my makeup matched that. I did blue eyeshadow with orange in the crease and heavy blush. I also couldn’t forget a lot of highlighter for added sparkle and shine. Hair wise I just did curls and added this headband headpiece from Amazon.
