All American Fourth Of July

The Fourth of July is less than a week away?! I'm not sure where June went, but it seems like I blinked my eyes and it was over.  Does anyone else feel this way? Now I'm looking forward to bbq, pool parties, and fireworks. I'm not the biggest fan of fireworks but they are pretty to look at, I just keep my distance. Just like any other holiday I'm contemplating my outfit for days prior to the event. Fourth of July luckily has a color scheme that I have to stay with so that narrows down my options quite a bit. Even though the red clothing options are limited in my wardrobe but I pulled something together. I hope this post helps some of you decide what you want to wear on this festive day celebrating our country.
I find that denim is a staple for this day. Whether you wear it with a swim suit top or a cute festive shirt it is an easy way to incorporate blue into your outfit for the day. I have two options for outfits pictured above. Denim overalls give you an all American look and you can wear a white or red shirt underneath. If you ask anyone who knows me I love to craft and create garments. So I made the shirt I decided to put under my overalls. I stenciled out the three stars across the middle of the shirt and then filled them in with red paint. This was an easy way for me to get both red and white into my outfit. I also painted my nails red and added a headband for that extra pop of color. I really like how the outfit turned out and it is very comfortable as well. The option on the right is pairing a fashionable pair of high-waisted denim shorts with a red and white swim suit top. This option guarantees that you'll be ready to jump right in the pool which is always great because where I live it is usually really hot that day. The best thing about this is you get to have a new cute bikini in your wardrobe. It's all about wearing what you are comfortable in and supporting the country that you live in.
The possibilities are endless for outfits that you can create for this day. It's completely up to you and what kind of style you want to have. Make sure you have fun with it and wear whatever you want to while hanging out with friends, family, or whatever plans you may have. This is a day of celebration and I know you all will look great in your red, white, and blue outfits. Have fun and stay stylish!
