Skin And Bones For Halloween: Spooktober Part 4

Week by week we are getting closer and closer to Halloween! I can't believe how fast this month is flying by. This week the costume idea is a skeleton, I hope you enjoy my take on this idea. It all started where it always does for me, the aisles of Goodwill. I found this tank top with skeletons on it and thought it would be fun to create a more fashion forward skeleton than take the idea literally with bones.

I paired the skeleton tank top with my leather pants and some white chunky boots. This outfit is quite simple but it is straight forward when it comes to what my costume is. I love leather pants in the fall so I thought they were perfect to elevate this outfit idea. It is extremely comfortable and I think that is something to consider when deciding on a costume because you don't want to be uncomfortable all night long.

This is also a great base outfit that you can add layers to if your climate is colder. You could add a shirt underneath or even a leather or jean jacket to complete the look and stay warm. With any costume it is important to make it your own and have fun with it.

The most fun part of any costume is the makeup, I always look forward to trying something new and creative. For this look I took inspiration from some Youtube videos. As long as you have a good black eyeshadow and black eyeliner this is very easy to recreate.

I carved out my cheeks with black eyeshadow to give the illusion of sunken cheeks. I also used the black eyeshadow on my eyelids with a little white eyeshadow in the center and highlighter on my inner corner. The fun part came when I broke out my liquid eyeliner. I drew on the bone of my nose and lines across my lips.

You can add as many details as you want to this makeup look and that is where you can use your creativity. There are so many inspiration pictures online for skeleton makeup so you have unlimited resources to pull from, while I was scrolling I picked my favorite parts of multiple ideas to create something unique to me. I pulled the look together with some cute bubble braids. I really like how this turned out and it was pretty simple to achieve.

And there you have it, the second to last costume idea complete. I hope you are able to find inspiration from my posts and create an amazing costume this year. I am so excited for Halloween and to see all the costumes everyone came up with on social media. Only one costume idea blog post left, any guesses on what it could be?
