It is that time of the year again, my favorite time for fashion and weather. It is officially Fall and even though the midwest was behind on this memo, we made it. Like seriously why was it 90 degrees days before the first day of Fall in Missouri?! It is now the time for oversized sweaters, leggings, boots, and scarves. Layering is ideal for Fall which means you can wear more of your favorite pieces at once. The color scheme for this time of year is absolutely beautiful and includes but isn't limited to, maroon, olive green, tan, navy, and black. Nature even mimics this color scheme when the leaves start changing, so much beauty to be seen.
The photos above are outfits that I would wear on a warmer Fall day and can be transitioned with layering pieces for the colder days of the season. I started off with an olive green body suit, some light wash distressed denim jeans, tan booties, and a maroon floppy hat. This hat to be honest is my favorite accessory for fall and I NEED it in black. This outfit can easily be worn on colder days by adding a fluffy cardigan or jacket. The next outfit is an example of taking a dress and making it super casual for every day wear. It is a polka dot dress and I paired it with my Adidas sneakers. Adding the sneakers drastically dresses the outfit down but it is still stylish. The final outfit was my 'mom' jeans cuffed at the bottom, white t-shirt tucked in, tan booties, an olive green cardigan, and my maroon hat. The temperature started to get cooler and this was the perfect outfit so I was comfortable in the breeze. Fall gives you even more opportunities to express your sense of style through jackets, scarves, and socks. Accessories are the most fun to add to all of your outfits because there is no limit.
I can't wait to do all of the fun Fall activities, going to the pumpkin patch is at the top of my list. It is pretty and I love picking out the perfect pumpkin to take home with me to remember the experience. Also, I can't wait for bonfires and s'mores. My sisters and I used to project movies outside on our garage and sit around the fire and enjoy the evening. Creating outfits for all these activities is what I'm looking forward to as well. I just reorganized my closet and brought all the sweaters to the front which got me excited. Make sure you all have fun with your style and wear what you love to wear. Also, you can never have too many sweaters in your wardrobe so don't let anyone tell you differently.
