FALL-ing For The Season

Hey y'all it's fall! We are in the heart of the season and creating outfits for the fall is my absolute favorite. In this post I'll be showing some outfit ideas for you all and I even made a YouTube video to further show the outfits. The outfit video will be on the homepage of my website. Fall is the best time for fashion in my opinion. There are so many cute colors and ways to layer clothing items that just make it great. I hope this post gives you some inspiration and new ideas for outfits during this time of the year.

The first outfit I put together is a trend that I have been wanting to try. I wore a mock turtleneck under a graphic tee. I love how it looks and can't wait to wear it more. The mock turtleneck is so soft and is less than ten dollars from Walmart. I have it in multiple colors and it is great on its own or for layering. Over the top of the turtleneck I wore a graphic tee from American Eagle. I also think this outfit would be really cute with a white shirt underneath to match the graphic on the shirt. I paired my shirts with some slightly distressed jeans that I got from Kohl's. These are some of my favorite jeans. They fit my waist perfectly and are loose in all the right places so that my body doesn't lose shape.

It is a very casual outfit so I wore it with my air force 1 dupes from Walmart. These shoes are great if you want the classic white sneaker look but don't want to spend a bunch of money, they are only $15. This is a great outfit especially for someone who owns a lot of graphic tees. I have been wanting to expand my graphic tee collection for some time now and after trying this trend I will continue to do so.

One of my favorite ways to wear dresses in the fall is to put a sweater over the top of it. I have a lot of dresses in my closet because they are easy outfits that make it seem like you put more effort into your outfit than you actually did. I'm glad I found this outfit idea so I don't have to give up wearing dresses year round. You can also add tights during the even colder months. In my next outfit I am wearing a floral dress from Target, it is short sleeves and not great for when the temperature starts to drop. I decided to wear a tan sweater that matches some of the flowers on the dress over the top of it. Scrolling through Tik Tok I found a hack where you wear a belt around your waist and then tuck up your sweater. This makes it look more like I'm wearing a sweater and a skirt instead of a sweater over a dress. I'm wearing my go to tan booties that help dress up any outfit. With these booties I am wearing some olive green and cream boot socks. Wearing boot socks brings a girly element to any outfit.

You remember the awesome mock turtleneck I told you about in the first outfit? Well here it is again in a different color and in a different outfit. I just love them, what can I say. So for this outfit I wore the burnt orange mock turtleneck underneath a black jumpsuit. I love jumpsuits because they are super comfortable and can be dressed up or down. This outfit I decided to keep pretty casual for an every day look. For shoes I'm wearing my Dr. Martens which give the outfit more of an edgy look. Adding hats to any outfit during the fall months take them to another level of fashionable. I think they are such a cute fall accessory and have the ability to make any outfit better. You'll see in the next outfit how much I love this hat because I wear it again lol. Accessories are a great way to elevate any outfit and I think layered necklaces would have been a wonderful addition to this outfit. There are so many ways to make a simple outfit more unique and true to your style.

This next outfit might be my favorite that I put together for this post because this jacket is my FAVORITE thing ever. I wore a black croft and barrow turtleneck that I got from Kohl's, ripped jeans that are Wild Fable from Target, black booties from Rue 21, my black hat, and this sherpa jacket that I found in the clearance section at Kohl's. When I was shopping in the clearance section and saw this jacket my heart skipped a beat and I hoped it was in my size. Luckily for me it was and it is the perfect layering jacket for the fall. I have been seeing this outfit all over Pinterest and I can't believe I have all the elements now to recreate it with my own clothing. This is a good going out to a casual dinner outfit because it is comfortable but also looks like you tried when putting your outfit together. I decided to wear my hair in a low bun with this outfit because there was a lot of fabric around my neck and I didn't want to add more bulk with my hair. Jeans, a neutral top, and a fuzzy jacket is a staple fall outfit that I'll be wearing quite a bit.

I love to wear outfits that are comfortable and cute at the same time. I have wanted plaid pants for the past few months to add to my fall wardrobe. I found these perfect paper bag baggy plaid pants at my work and knew I needed them in my life. I had a vision for this outfit as soon as I saw these pants. I paired them with a brown turtleneck that I got from Goodwill a long time ago. I always roll the sleeves because they are a tad too long. The pants have cuffs sewn into them so they hit at the perfect spot on my ankle so that I can wear my Dr. Martens. Honestly I do kind of feel like a grandpa in this outfit lol but a cool stylish grandpa for sure. This outfit did turn out exactly how I imagined it in my head which rarely ever happens so I'm glad I didn't look in the mirror and immediately want to take it all off and become frustrated. This would also look good with a white or black sweater because those are the colors in the plaid stripes. When I think of fall I think plaid so I'm glad I have these pants to wear throughout the season.

A very easy outfit for the fall is to just wear a dress. I found this dress at Goodwill and it was originally from Shein. You never know what you'll find at a thrift store so it is always a bonus when you find an awesome item. It is in a beautiful emerald color and covered in white polka dots. There are ruffles around the waist, hem, and end of sleeves to give it a girly feeling. Instead of dressing up this outfit I decided to pair it with my air force dupes again to make it more casual and wearable for every day. I kept this outfit very simple and didn't add anything to it but wearing simple jewelry would've been a nice touch. This would also be a great dress for Thanksgiving because it is not tight on the body and you can swap out the casual shoes for heeled booties. Any dress in a fall tone with sleeves is a great option for the season.

You don't know how long I have been wanting a long statement coat/jacket to add to my fall wardrobe. This season all of the clothing pieces I have been wanting have come into my life by some miracle. This jacket matches perfectly with an all black outfit because then it becomes the focal point. I wore black skinny jeans from Kohl's, a black bodysuit from TjMaxx, my same Rue 21 boots, and gold jewelry. This is a simplistic outfit that is great for the fall months, it also helps keep you warm when the temperature drops. I can't wait to wear this jacket all season long and try it with different outfits.

I hope you all liked the outfit ideas in this post and are feeling motivated to put together outfits using the clothes in your closet. Don't forget to check out the video so you can see these outfits in motion. I can't wait to continue to wear these outfits the next few weeks before winter gets here.
